Grooming & Trails Supervisor

About the role

The Grooming & Trails Supervisor leads snow surface preparation and maintenance for Homewood Mountain & Lake Club. The role ensures safe, high‑quality skiing and riding experiences in winter and oversees trail, road and forest improvements in summer.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute daily grooming plans based on weather, skier traffic and operational priorities.
• Monitor snow conditions, partner with Snowmaking and Patrol, and report surface quality.
• Recruit, train, schedule and supervise grooming operators and snow surface staff.
• Oversee operation and preventive maintenance of grooming equipment and coordinate upgrades.
• Manage labor, equipment costs and departmental expenditures while maintaining quality standards.
• Support summer trail maintenance, road improvements, forest management and erosion control projects.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree in business, recreation management or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years ski‑area operations experience, including grooming and snow surface management.
• Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company insurability requirements.
