Graphic Designer – Marketing Team (Chicago West)

About the role

Kimley-Horn is seeking a creative and resourceful Graphic Designer to join its growing Marketing team at the Chicago West office. You will work in a fast‑paced environment, collaborating with engineers, project managers and technical staff to produce high‑quality visual communications that support proposals, reports and client outreach.

Key responsibilities

• Design covers, templates, layouts, and supporting graphics for proposals and reports.
• Create presentations, multimedia graphics, and before‑and‑after photo simulations.
• Develop aerial map exhibits, unique print and digital brochures, and trade‑show graphics.
• Produce e‑blast campaigns, social‑media graphics, and large‑format printing materials.
• Collaborate within a large, specialized marketing team while adhering to corporate and client branding guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings or travel as business needs dictate.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining consistent quality.

Required skills

• Adobe Creative Cloud: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat.
• Microsoft Office Suite.
• Video filming/editing and motion‑graphics tools (Adobe Premiere, After Effects).
• 3D software such as 3DS Max or SketchUp.
• Web design experience – WordPress preferred, with HTML/CSS knowledge.
