Gospel Worship Accompanist

About the role

Dynamic Planning & Response is seeking a Gospel Worship Accompanist to support weekly services at Nelles Chapel, Joint Base Pearl Harbor‑Hickam. The role involves providing high‑quality keyboard and piano accompaniment for worship, collaborating with choir and musicians, and participating in rehearsals and special events.

Key responsibilities

• Provide musical accompaniment for weekly Gospel worship services and rehearsals.
• Attend one 90‑minute rehearsal and one 90‑minute Sunday service each week, arriving at least 15 minutes early.
• Support a range of styles including Gospel, Contemporary Christian, and traditional Protestant music.
• Collaborate with choir, vocalists, and instrumentalists as needed.
• Provide music support for up to two seasonal events and four additional special programs annually.

Required profile

• Proficiency in keyboard and/or piano accompaniment with a focus on Gospel music.
• Working knowledge of diverse Christian worship styles and ability to collaborate in a worship team.
