About the role

Join Texas A&M Forest Service’s integrated technology team to develop innovative geospatial solutions that enhance wildfire preparedness and response across Texas. This 100% onsite position focuses on advancing data‑driven tools that support firefighters and emergency managers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance data‑driven solutions for wildfire response and resource management.
• Conduct advanced geospatial analyses on complex tabular, vector, and raster datasets.
• Automate workflows to improve efficiency and response times.
• Communicate insights through reports, visualizations, and interactive platforms.
• Support emergency response operations, including extended hours and weekends as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in forestry, natural resources, spatial sciences, emergency management, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in geospatial or statistical analysis (advanced degree may substitute).
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and independent project management skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Required skills

• ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Survey123, Field Maps, Experience Builder, Operations Dashboard.
• Python programming.
• Azure Functions (HTTP, timer, queue triggers) and Logic Apps.
• Relational database concepts.
• Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.
