GeoBase Operations Analyst

About the role

Woolpert is seeking a GeoBase Operations Analyst to support the Department of the Air Force GeoBase program at the Air Force Civil Engineer Center in San Antonio. The role blends GIS data stewardship, enterprise mapping, and client support in a hybrid onsite/remote schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain versioned, multi‑user geodatabases for Air Force civil engineering GIS data.
• Perform data quality assurance and ensure compliance with DoD geospatial standards.
• Produce installation, range, and vicinity maps using cartographic techniques.
• Develop and update ArcGIS Portal and Story Maps for end‑users.
• Provide training, support, and documentation for GIS workflows, SOPs, and knowledge base.
• Coordinate GIS data submissions, disaster response mapping, and metadata creation.
• Migrate legacy GIS, CAD, and tabular data to GeoBase standards.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a Tier 1 investigation.
• Bachelor’s degree plus two years of geospatial experience, or four years equivalent experience.
• Active security clearance or ability to pass a Tier 1 investigation.
• Willingness to undergo background check and drug screening.

Required skills

• Esri ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap) and ArcGIS Pro.
• Portal for ArcGIS or ArcGIS Online (AGOL).
• ArcGIS Data Reviewer and ArcGIS Insights.
• Jira and Confluence (Agile project tools).
• Microsoft Office suite.
• Autodesk or other CAD software.
• GIS QA/QC, LiDAR, and geospatial imagery handling.
