General Manager – ROOST Apartment Hotel (Austin)

About the role

Method Co. is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead ROOST Rainey at Paseo, an apartment‑style boutique hotel in Austin’s vibrant Rainey Street district. The role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on daily management to ensure operational excellence, financial performance, and an elevated guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Build, lead, and inspire a high‑performing, service‑driven team while fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
• Oversee all day‑to‑day hotel operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Guest Services, maintaining brand standards.
• Own the property’s P&L, drive revenue growth, control costs, and monitor key metrics such as occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and guest satisfaction.
• Champion a hospitality‑first mindset, ensuring guest satisfaction, retention, and loyalty through proactive engagement.
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to drive occupancy, build community relationships, and support local partnerships.

Required profile

• 5+ years of General Manager or senior leadership experience in a boutique hotel or lifestyle hospitality environment.
• Strong financial acumen with proven ability to manage budgets and drive profitability.
• Demonstrated skill in leading, motivating, and developing teams in a fast‑paced setting.
• Deep understanding of hotel operations across all departments.
• Experience with extended‑stay or apartment‑style concepts is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Passion for design‑driven, guest‑centric hospitality.
