Full‑Time Nursing Faculty (Tenure‑Track)

About the role

The Health Professions Division at Columbia‑Greene Community College seeks a full‑time, tenure‑track Nursing faculty member to begin in the Fall semester of 2025. The role involves lecturing, laboratory instruction, and clinical teaching for LPN and RN programs, including off‑campus clinical agency work.

Key responsibilities

• Update and develop program and course curricula, integrating current teaching methodologies and technologies.
• Assist with creation and assessment of student learning outcomes (SLOs).
• Support and expand local business partnerships that benefit students.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administrators to enhance instruction, curriculum, and student success.
• Participate in selection of course materials, equipment, technology, and distance‑education resources.
• Provide student consultation during regular office hours and serve on departmental, division, and college committees.

Required profile

• Active, unencumbered NYS RN license at time of hire.
• Master’s degree in nursing (doctorate advantageous).
• Hospital‑based clinical experience in medical‑surgical, critical‑care, acute care, long‑term care, maternity, pediatrics, obstetrics, and mental health.
• Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills.
• Commitment to student success and excellence in nursing education.

Required skills
