Full-Time Tenure-Track Faculty – Fashion Design (Art Area)

About the role

The School of Art and Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology seeks a tenure‑track, full‑time faculty member in the Fashion Design Art Area. The successful candidate will lead AI‑driven fashion design education, integrating emerging technologies into creative practice, product development, and design communication.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in fashion design, emphasizing AI‑enhanced creativity and digital product development.
• Develop and continuously update curriculum that incorporates artificial intelligence, emerging tech, and market research.
• Supervise student research projects, capstone designs, and industry collaborations.
• Conduct scholarly or professional research in AI‑driven fashion design and disseminate findings through publications, exhibitions, or industry partnerships.
• Participate in departmental service, faculty committees, and community outreach initiatives.

Required profile

• PhD, MFA, or equivalent professional experience in fashion design or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated leadership in pioneering AI‑driven approaches to fashion design.
• Strong record of professional practice, research, or industry impact.
• Ability to blend creative vision with rigorous technical implementation.
