Full-Time Security Officer - Morgue Area Patrol

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a full-time Unarmed Security Officer for a healthcare location in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The officer patrols the morgue area and other assigned zones, maintains a visible presence to deter security incidents and supports a welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff and vendors by carrying out security procedures, site policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances and other critical situations, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital grounds, entrances, parking areas, corridors and perimeter areas to spot and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, directing people to appropriate locations.
• Document incidents, observations and patrol activities and share relevant information with site leadership and responding personnel.

Required profile

• Willingness to receive vaccines required for a hospital setting.
• Comfort working in and around a hospital morgue.
• Able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• State, county or city security license preferred; customer service experience preferred.
• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen, and to licensing requirements set by state and local law.
