About the role

Join Ochsner Health as a Registered Nurse on the Acute Medical Step‑Down Unit, working night shifts at the OMC Jeff Hwy location. You will provide high‑quality patient care using the nursing process while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team, respecting cultural and religious diversity.

Required profile

Current RN license in the state of practice.
Basic Life Support (BCS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Ability to perform essential duties, with reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.

Required skills

Proficient computer skills for data entry and retrieval.
Experience with Windows‑style applications and related software packages.
