Full-Time Elementary Homeroom Teacher (K–6)

About the role

RISE Academy is seeking a full‑time Homeroom Teacher for Kindergarten through 6th grade for the 2026‑2027 school year at its San Jose campus. The educator will create a respectful, joyful, and structured classroom environment while delivering inquiry‑based, experiential instruction aligned with the school’s STREAM model.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily lessons that integrate Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Art, and Math.
• Build a safe, culturally responsive classroom where students are motivated to learn.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning styles and needs.
• Use formative and summative assessments to monitor progress and adjust interventions.
• Support student growth across intellectual, emotional, physical, spiritual, and social domains.
• Maintain regular communication with families and uphold strong home‑school partnerships.
• Collaborate with colleagues, participate in professional development, and contribute to school events and community outreach.
• Manage student case documentation, including IEP‑related supports when applicable.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Relevant experience working with elementary‑age children.
• Alignment with RISE Academy’s faith‑based mission.
• Strong understanding of elementary curriculum and best practices.
• Commitment to inquiry‑based, project‑based, and experiential learning.
• Ability to reflect on practice, respond to feedback, and continuously improve.

Required skills

• Proficiency with technology tools such as email, internet browsers, and document/spreadsheet applications.
