Full-Time Cook – Healthcare Facility

About the role

Kingman Healthcare Inc. seeks a full‑time Cook to prepare high‑volume meals for patients and customers in a fast‑paced, safety‑sensitive environment. The role supports the organization’s vision of delivering top clinical care and patient service through respectful and proud performance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily foods in a high‑volume, fast‑paced operation, following recipes accurately.
• Ensure all food meets quality, timing, temperature, labeling and regulatory standards.
• Maintain food safety and cleanliness standards at all times.
• Forecast production to minimize under‑ or over‑production.
• Participate in catering assignments involving upscale meal preparation.
• Supervise staff in the absence of management, ensuring quality, productivity and sanitation.
• Communicate proactively with coworkers and leadership to meet department goals.
• Keep service areas stocked and ensure food is ready for each service period.

Required profile

• Strong multitasking ability and capacity to work under deadline pressure.
• Knowledge of food sanitation, basic HACCP requirements and proper hygiene.
• Minimum two years of quantity cooking experience; healthcare experience preferred.
• Current ANSI‑accredited food handler certification or equivalent Arizona food‑handler card.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English and perform basic math.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb, stand for long periods and work with cleaning chemicals.

Required skills

• Food sanitation and HACCP knowledge.
• Accurate recipe measurement and food preparation.
• Use of temperature monitoring and blast‑chiller equipment.
