Full-Time Academic Pediatric Gastroenterologist

About the role

Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and LSU Health Sciences Center seek a board‑certified pediatric gastroenterologist to join the Division of Gastroenterology as a full‑time academic faculty member. The position is at the Assistant or Associate Professor level and requires a Louisiana medical license. The role blends clinical care, teaching, and research in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide inpatient consult services and outpatient general gastroenterology care for pediatric patients.
• Perform endoscopic procedures in the on‑site endoscopy center.
• Teach residents and medical students in weekly GI outpatient clinics.
• Participate in clinical research initiatives and NIH‑ or industry‑sponsored trials.

Required profile

• Board‑certified/board‑eligible in pediatric gastroenterology.
• Eligibility for a Louisiana medical license.
• Commitment to high‑quality patient care, academic scholarship, and mentorship of trainees.

Required skills

• Proficiency in pediatric endoscopic procedures.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Ability to deliver GI clinical care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
