Full-Time Academic Neuromuscular Neurologist (Physician)

About the role

Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center‑Shreveport are seeking a Neuromuscular Specialist to join their Academic Neurology department. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible and eligible for a Louisiana medical license. Leadership opportunities are available for qualified physicians.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality clinical care to patients with neuromuscular and other neurological conditions.
• Educate medical students and neurology residents through clinic supervision, grand rounds, and didactic conferences.
• Participate in departmental activities and contribute to the growth of the Neuromuscular program.
• Mentor faculty and residents, providing clinical expertise and guidance.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology.
• Eligibility for a Louisiana medical license.
• Demonstrated interest in academic medicine and clinical leadership.
• Experience or strong interest in neuromuscular disorders.
