Full-Time Academic Child Neurologist (Physician)

About the role

Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport & LSU Health Sciences Center‑Shreveport’s Department of Neurology is seeking an experienced board‑certified/board‑eligible Child Neurologist. This full‑time faculty position will be appointed at the academic rank of associate professor or professor, depending on experience and qualifications. The role combines patient care with academic responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality clinical care to pediatric patients with neurological conditions in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Educate medical students and neurology residents, supervising clinics, grand rounds, and didactic conferences.
• Participate in departmental activities and contribute to the growth of the Child Neurology Division.
• Mentor and share clinical expertise with faculty and residents.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or board‑eligible Child Neurologist with relevant experience.
• Commitment to both patient care and academic development.
• Ability to supervise resident clinics, deliver lectures, and engage in departmental initiatives.
• Willingness to contribute to division expansion and mentorship programs.
