Fulfillment & Outbound Manager

About the role

The Fulfillment & Outbound Manager leads end‑to‑end order fulfillment and outbound logistics at PowerPak’s Congers, NY distribution center. Reporting to the Head of Operations, this hands‑on leader ensures orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time while coordinating company fleet drivers and third‑party carriers.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee picking, packing, and order‑accuracy processes across all shifts.
• Manage outbound logistics, including routing, dispatch, fleet drivers, and third‑party carrier relationships to meet delivery commitments cost‑effectively.
• Supervise, coach, and develop three direct reports and their hourly teams, handling scheduling, performance management, and succession planning.
• Own DIFOT (Delivery In Full On Time) and order‑accuracy metrics, monitor performance, and drive corrective actions.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant fulfillment and outbound floor.
• Partner with receiving, inventory, purchasing, sales, and customer service to keep order flow smooth.
• Identify and implement continuous‑improvement initiatives for workflow, layout, and labor planning as volume scales.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading fulfillment or outbound logistics teams in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Strong problem‑solving ability with a focus on rapid, sound decision‑making.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills to develop direct reports and hourly staff.
• Commitment to safety, compliance, and high‑quality customer service.
