FP&A Manager - Car Rental Business

About the role

Avis Budget Group is looking for an FP&A Manager to lead financial reporting and performance analysis across its rental business segments and act as the main link between Sales and Finance. The role also owns the strategic development of the group's profit allocation tool, which requires cross-functional collaboration with IT, Risk and other Finance functions.

Key responsibilities

• Own segment-level P&L reporting and performance analysis, linking results to rate, volume, mix and cost drivers
• Bridge Sales and Finance so commercial teams understand financial performance and Finance understands operational drivers
• Lead the development and refinement of the revenue/cost profit allocation tool
• Design and validate driver-based allocation methods for non-directly attributable costs and set the enhancement roadmap
• Work with IT, Risk and other Finance departments to secure data, systems support and sign-off
• Train sales teams on using the tool and interpret its results
• Manage, coach and develop the FP&A Analyst
• Present findings to senior Finance and Sales leadership
• Improve reporting processes, controls and documentation, and explore automation, SQL/Python and AI to speed up reporting

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field; MBA a plus but not required
• Strong command of P&L structure, cost allocation and financial analysis
• Ability to design allocation logic from first principles and to present to senior stakeholders
• Cross-functional collaboration and influence without direct authority
• Prior people management or mentorship experience preferred
• Interest in applying AI tools to finance and reporting is a plus

The annual starting salary is between $100,000 and $120,000, depending on market, skills, education and experience. The position is based in Parsippany, New Jersey.
