Founding Product Designer

About the role

We are looking for our first dedicated design hire to shape the AI‑powered mission control platform for corporate travel. As the founding product designer you will own the end‑to‑end design process, partner directly with the Head of Product and a 15‑person engineering team, and build the visual language that unifies the product.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a comprehensive design system in Figma, including tokens, components, patterns and usage guidelines, and ensure consistent implementation with engineering.
• Design and prototype key features from concept to high‑fidelity, interactive mock‑ups, leveraging AI‑assisted design tools for rapid iteration.
• Run discovery on solution paths: interview customers, explore directions, and decide the best approach, then translate outcomes into clear PRDs for engineering.
• Validate designs with customers, gather feedback, and iterate to improve UI/UX before release.
• Partner with engineering to ship features, shifting focus as product priorities evolve.

Required profile

• 5+ years of product design experience in B2B or SaaS environments with a strong visual and interaction portfolio.
• Proven track record of creating and rolling out a design system on a live product.
• Comfortable owning problem definition, conducting user research, and making product judgments without a detailed spec.
• Ability to write clear requirements and collaborate closely with engineers to deliver shipped work.
• Experience thriving in a lean, fast‑moving startup setting where you set the pace.
