Founding Marketer – Startup (NYC or London)

About the role

Phaselaw is rebuilding the legacy eDiscovery industry with a modern, document‑production platform for in‑house legal teams. We are a fast‑growing seed‑stage startup looking for a Founding Marketer to shape our go‑to‑market strategy and brand.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a quarterly marketing plan that drives inbound leads and brand awareness.
• Own and optimize paid‑media campaigns (SEO, SEM) and track performance metrics.
• Manage the content calendar, produce high‑impact copy, and oversee blog and social media output.
• Plan and execute conferences, webinars, and other events to generate pipeline.
• Collaborate with founders and sales to align messaging, attend demos, and refine the pitch.
• Build attribution models and reporting dashboards for all marketing activities.

Required profile

• 5+ years of in‑house marketing experience, preferably in fast‑moving startups.
• Proven track record with SEO, SEM, and inbound lead generation.
• Hands‑on event planning and execution experience.
• Excellent writing skills and a bias for rapid iteration.
• Extreme ownership and a willingness to roll up sleeves.
• Bonus: experience in the privacy or legal technology space.
