Food Service Supervisor (Full-Time)

About the role

The Food Service Supervisor oversees daily operations of an assigned cafeteria at the University of Miami, ensuring smooth service and compliance with health and safety standards. This role also leads a team of staff to meet departmental goals and deliver a high‑quality dining experience for residents and guests.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise cash transactions and charges in line with established policies.
• Monitor food service costs to stay within allocated budgets.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local health codes.
• Maintain inventory levels and replenish supplies and food items.
• Assist service staff during meals and greet residents and guests.
• Oversee set‑up and breakdown procedures for food and equipment.
• Communicate and enforce safety regulations.
• Establish and assess internal controls, ensuring staff training on university policies.

Required profile

• Associate degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum three years of relevant food service or supervisory experience.
• Any required certifications as specified by the department.
