Food Service Employee (Full-Time)

About the role

We are seeking a full-time Food Service Employee to join the Central Georgia Technical College café in Warner Robins. The role involves preparing, serving, and cleaning a variety of meals for students, staff, and visitors while maintaining high food-safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Check daily menus and prepare food items according to standardized procedures.
• Serve meals at scheduled times and assist with banquet, civic group, and reception catering.
• Prepare special diets on request and monitor hot/cold food temperatures.
• Operate and maintain food-service equipment, dishwasher, and cash register.
• Stock shelves, freezers, and coolers; report maintenance needs promptly.
• Clean tables, chairs, and work areas, and handle waste disposal.

Required profile

• Flexible schedule including day, evening, and weekend shifts.
• Willingness to travel between Warner Robins and Macon cafés as needed.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week, 12 months per year.

Required skills

• Knowledge of basic food-safety practices.
• Understanding of personal hygiene and proper cleaning methods.
• Cash register operation and basic money handling.
• Operation of food-service equipment and dishwashers.
