Financial Analyst

About the role

iHeartMedia Markets is hiring a Financial Analyst for its Multi-Platform Group in New York. The analyst supports financial analysis and reporting for the group, works closely with key decision-makers and reports to the Director of Finance.

Key responsibilities

• Support all levels of the finance team, the President of Multi-Market Sales and the EVP of Events Partnerships
• Build reports and tools with Excel, SQL and Tableau to evaluate business performance and improve operations
• Use AI tools to automate recurring reports and speed up analysis
• Distribute weekly and monthly reports and build performance packages for sales and finance leadership
• Track revenue pacing against budget, forecast and prior year across agencies, accounts and sales channels
• Analyze expense, profitability and revenue trends, explain forecast changes and close variances, and prepare materials for meetings with sales leadership
• Work with the accounting team on month-end reports and the month close, and assist with sales compensation plans and bonus calculations
• Maintain financial models for P&L forecasting, annual budgeting and strategic decisions, and keep data sources and dashboards accurate

Required profile

• 2 years of analytical experience in financial planning, operations or another finance-heavy division
• Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record; references required
• Attention to detail, ability to reconcile numbers across sources, and ability to prioritize changing demands
• Self-starter, team-oriented, critical thinker with good oral and written communication skills
• Media or advertising sales experience is a plus

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables)
• AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot
• Recurring reports and presentations in PowerPoint
• Understanding of revenue pacing, budget and forecast concepts
• Plus: Salesforce.com and Think-cell, SQL (SSMS, Google BigQuery), VBA and Tableau

Salary is $66,300 - $80,000 depending on experience and qualifications; the position is full-time and salaried.
