Manager, Client Finance

About the role

Horizon Media is hiring a Manager, Client Finance in New York, a hybrid role reporting to the Associate Director, Client Finance. The position acts as the relationship and account manager for the entire client financial life cycle, combining analysis, project management and active client-facing work, with fiduciary responsibility for its portfolio of clients.

Key responsibilities

• Client budgets (35%): own and manage the client finance tracker, verify authorized budgets and plans in media buying systems, run monthly variance analysis, track campaign pacing, validate contractual compliance and find solutions to client requests.
• Order-to-cash project management (20%): maintain the client deliverable calendar, quality control media buys, train internal teams on media buying system best practices, and review receivables to prevent media disruptions.
• Client management (20%): act as the primary finance contact, lead monthly finance status calls, align on year-end deadlines, and support external audits with ad hoc reporting.
• Internal client management (20%): support business management policies, contribute to managing partner status calls, prepare and issue burn reports, join flash, forecasting and budgeting, update client questionnaires, and support internal audits.
• Identify areas of improvement and efficiency (5%).

Required profile

• 5+ years of client-facing experience, preferably in the media industry; prior client management experience preferred.
• Understanding of accounting principles.
• BS/BA degree.
• Team player who adapts to a fast-paced environment and advocates for diversity, equity and inclusion.

Required skills

• Strong analytical, project management and Excel skills, and the ability to explain financial concepts.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
• Knowledge of SBMS/MediaOcean OX is a plus.

What we offer

• Salary range of $66,300 to $95,000, with actual base pay depending on experience and qualifications.
