Financial Analyst – CST Business

About the role

Cabot Corporation is seeking a Financial Analyst to support its CST business unit. The analyst will work closely with finance, commercial, operations, technology and accounting teams to provide accurate financial reporting, forecasting and insight for strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Support monthly financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning processes.
• Maintain and update commercial and operational forecast models across regions.
• Generate management reports, dashboards and presentation materials summarising actual and forecasted performance.
• Gather, validate and interpret monthly results, collaborating with accounting and business stakeholders.
• Analyze profitability, cost structures, overheads and other financial drivers to identify variances.
• Provide ad‑hoc analysis such as scenario modelling, sensitivity analysis, pricing and capital‑appropriation support.
• Use financial systems and analytical tools (Excel, Power BI, OBI, JDE) to evaluate results and develop decision‑support tools.
• Participate in reporting system implementations and process‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Experience in financial analysis, reporting and budgeting.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional finance, commercial and operations teams.
