About the role

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials engineering solutions, and its Finance Department is seeking MBA interns for the summer of 2027 in Santa Clara, CA. The internship offers hands‑on experience supporting financial analytics, investment decision support, and strategic initiatives across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Focus on one or more projects that help the finance organization drive executive decision‑making around key business issues.
• Provide insightful financial modeling, ROI analysis, scenario planning, and portfolio prioritization.
• Support finance planning, analysis, reporting, and other finance initiatives.
• Assist in driving strategic direction of the group to execute on business‑unit and corporate priorities.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing an MBA with graduation planned for 2027; 4‑7 years prior finance or accounting experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving skills, including practical experience using AI and data analytics to improve financial processes.
• Proactive self‑starter capable of working independently and collaboratively in teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
