Finance Director, Regional Controller - USA

About the role

The Finance Director, Regional Controller will report directly to the Vice President of Finance for the Americas and lead accounting operations for AVEVA’s US legal entities. You will be responsible for the integrity of the US trial balance, financial reporting and driving a cost‑efficient mindset across a ~$1B sales unit.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end controllership for the US region, ensuring accurate P&L, balance sheet and key reserves.
• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, delivering executive‑ready reporting.
• Maintain a robust SOX compliance framework and internal controls.
• Oversee IFRS/US GAAP compliance, including revenue recognition under IFRS 15 / ASC 606.
• Manage audit and statutory readiness as primary liaison for auditors.
• Coordinate with tax, treasury, and shared services teams across time zones.
• Build and develop a high‑performing controllership organization.

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including controller responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS 15, ASC 606 and SOX environments.
• CPA or equivalent professional designation preferred.
• Experience in a global organization with shared service centers.
• Excellent communication skills for senior stakeholder engagement.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably Oracle Fusion.
• Expertise in financial reporting tools.
• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS 15 and ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Hands‑on experience with SOX compliance and internal controls.
