Field Supervisor – Internal Inspection Team (Wind Turbine Blade)

About the role

The Field Supervisor leads the Internal Inspection Team in safe, efficient wind turbine blade inspections using SkySpecs’ internal inspection systems. Acting as the on‑site lead technician, the supervisor oversees turbine access, climbing, confined‑space work, and technician performance while ensuring compliance with all safety and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Assume operational control of the worksite, conducting pre‑job briefings, hazard assessments and daily safety discussions.
• Lead internal blade inspections with the SkySpecs crawler system, coordinating daily activities to meet scope, schedule and safety standards.
• Mentor and train technicians, delivering annual refresher training, audits and onboarding support.
• Maintain accurate documentation, permits, GWO certification records and compliance paperwork.
• Collaborate with SkySpecs HSE and Internal Inspections managers to execute competency frameworks and audit readiness.

Required profile

• 3+ years experience in wind turbine operations, blade inspections, rope access or related field services.
• At least 1 year proven experience as a SkySpecs Field Technician.
• Strong leadership experience in high‑risk field environments.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined blade spaces.
