Field Inspector – 1099 Independent Contractor

About the role

Seek Now is looking for independent 1099 Field Inspectors to conduct accurate, impartial home and commercial property inspections for insurance, facility management and real‑estate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Access and inspect steep or high roofs, lift, carry and set up ladders and equipment up to 100 lb.
• Sketch, measure and document roof or room components using proprietary mobile software.
• Travel to disaster‑affected areas for assignments lasting 2‑6 weeks, with lodging provided.
• Cover a 100‑mile radius around your home market and take assignments on short notice.
• Utilize equipment such as 3D cameras, drones and moisture meters as needed.

Required profile

• Clean, reliable truck or SUV capable of transporting a 32‑ft ladder.
• Operational laptop and smartphone with ability to use Microsoft Office and proprietary apps.
• Valid driver’s license, state‑issued workers’ compensation, general liability insurance and LLC documentation.
• Ability to obtain HAAG certification within 90 days.
• Professional appearance and strong attention to detail.

Required skills

• Use of 3D cameras, drones and moisture meters.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Operation of laptop and smartphone for data entry.
