Family Medicine Faculty Physician – Covington, LA

About the role

Ochsner Health, in partnership with St. Tammany Health System, is seeking a Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible Family Medicine Physician to join the core faculty of its newly accredited 8‑8‑8 residency program in Covington, Louisiana. The position combines patient‑centered clinical care with academic responsibilities, supporting both ambulatory and inpatient services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide four half‑day clinic sessions per week delivering comprehensive family medicine care.
• Precept residents for four half‑days each week and participate in two academic half‑days, unless assigned to inpatient service.
• Deliver inpatient and outpatient patient care without inpatient call responsibilities.
• Contribute to curriculum development and resident education within the new Family Practice Clinic.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board‑Eligible in Family Medicine.
• Strong interest in academic medicine and resident education.
• Collaborative, dynamic approach to patient care and teaching.
• Willingness to work in an onsite clinic and hospital environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system.
