Family Ambassador (International Programs)

About the role

The Family Ambassador role is a paid, part‑time position for Florida State University students who have completed a study‑abroad or internship program with International Programs. Ambassadors represent International Programs on campus and in the Tallahassee community, gaining experience in marketing and public speaking.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver presentations to diverse campus audiences, including classrooms, the Visitor Center, and orientation sessions.
• Represent International Programs at tabling events and other marketing activities.
• Provide front‑desk administrative support, answering phones and assisting visitors.
• Assist in the Passport Office with phone inquiries and guest preparation.
• Support digital marketing efforts by creating photos, videos, and social‑media content.
• Perform occasional tasks such as operating a golf cart, moving marketing materials, and working outdoors.

Required profile

• Completed a study‑abroad program with International Programs.
• Current GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Availability to work 12‑15 hours per week.
• Preferably graduating Spring 2027 or later.
