Faculty Position in Plastic Surgery (Assistant to Professor)

About the role

The Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at LSU Health Sciences Center seeks a board‑eligible or board‑certified plastic surgeon for a full‑time academic faculty position. The rank (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor) will be set based on the candidate’s experience and stature.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality clinical care, primarily at University Medical Center – New Orleans.
• Conduct and publish research in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Participate in departmental and institutional leadership activities when applicable.

Required profile

• MD or equivalent degree.
• Completion of an accredited plastic surgery residency.
• Board‑eligible or board‑certified (or equivalent) in plastic surgery.
• Medical license for Louisiana and credentialing before start date.

• Plastic surgery clinical expertise.
