Facilities Maintenance Team Lead

About the role

The Facilities Maintenance Team Lead oversees hourly staff in Wastewater Treatment and the Powerhouse (B105) at Bosch Charleston. This position blends hands‑on technical supervision with project management and waste handling responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop hourly employees in WWT and B105, coordinating 24‑hour weekday coverage and weekend shifts.
• Manage facility construction and maintenance projects, overseeing contractors to ensure compliance with Bosch, OSHA, NFPA, ICC and safety standards.
• Plan, design, estimate and execute work orders for renovation, equipment installation, relocation and removal across the plant.
• Control budgets, procure equipment, materials and services, and maintain spare‑parts inventory for critical systems.
• Supervise waste and recycling processes, working with HSE to track metrics and reduce waste streams.
• Conduct audits, Gemba walks and safety initiatives, supporting the Health, Safety & Environmental department.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; engineering or technical degree acceptable.
• Minimum 2 years production/maintenance management experience.
• Obtain a Class D State Phys/Chem Treatment Operator License within one year of hire.
• Familiarity with mechanical, electrical and control systems and relevant codes (NFPA, OSHA, EPA, DHEC, ICC, NEC).
• Strong problem‑solving, project‑management and communication skills.

Required skills

• SAP knowledge.
• Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Understanding of NFPA, OSHA, EPA, DHEC, ICC and NEC regulations.
• Class D State Phys/Chem Treatment Operator License (or ability to obtain).
