Facilities Environmental Program Manager – Mobile, AL

About the role

Airbus is seeking a Facilities Environmental Program Manager to lead environmental initiatives within its Mobile, Alabama manufacturing site. The role focuses on FMRE (Facilities Management Real Estate) activities and serves as the communication bridge between the environmental team and program stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and oversee environmental strategies and action plans in partnership with the site environmental management department.
• Lead creation and review of technical documents such as environmental policies, procedures, programs and guidance.
• Set sustainability targets, develop plans to meet them, and monitor progress through KPIs like energy intensity and water usage.
• Provide program support for regulatory compliance and standard operating procedures.
• Oversee lifecycle of projects including carbon‑footprint reduction, waste management, energy efficiency and water conservation.
• Coordinate crisis communications during facility‑related emergencies and manage customer inquiries regarding facility impacts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, or equivalent certification.
• Minimum of 7 years of program management experience, specifically within facilities.
• Proven experience developing and executing environmental programs and ensuring regulatory compliance.
