Fabricator – Shaft Assembly and Guide Prep

About the role

Clopay is hiring fabricators for its Mountaintop, PA manufacturing facility. Positions are available on first, second, third, and fourth shifts, focusing on shaft assembly and guide preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret shop sheets and job drawings to assemble and mark pipe.
• Perform drilling, greasing, welding gear ends, and fastening components.
• MIG weld, tap holes, grind welds, form bell mouths, and install wind locks.
• Visually inspect parts for defects and replace non‑conforming items.

Required profile

• High school diploma and ability to lift up to 50 lb.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints, use hand tools, and measure accurately.
• Meet safety, production, and quality standards.
