About the role

AVEVA is seeking an Experienced Software Developer to join its industrial software team in Philadelphia. You will design, build, and maintain high‑impact applications that power leading industrial companies worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Make technical decisions across scaling, reliability, performance, and maintenance while balancing business needs.
• Design, develop, test, and debug software applications in a CI/CD environment.
• Deliver production‑quality code on schedule with accurate estimates.
• Expand knowledge of the assigned technical domain and contribute to research shaping future technology.
• Follow team processes, documentation standards, and code style guides.
• Maintain existing codebases and work beyond core competency with minimal guidance.
• Identify and coordinate with other development teams to ensure alignment on goals and sequencing.
• Provide technical support, including direct customer assistance and escalation handling.
• Communicate work through design documents, tech talks, and constructive code reviews.
• Mentor junior developers and share technical guidance across teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven track record leading medium‑scale initiatives and delivering mission‑critical products.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude and ability to persist through roadblocks.

Required skills

• Proficiency in TypeScript and C#.
• Experience with major cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, Google Cloud.
• Design and implementation of large, connected systems and RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of security concerns in software design.
• Object‑oriented programming and clean, well‑architected code practices.
