Experienced Founder to Lead Strategic Initiatives

About the role

Cogent Security is an applied AI lab building autonomous AI agents for cybersecurity. We are looking for a seasoned founder to drive high‑impact initiatives across product, go‑to‑market and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Own critical initiatives end‑to‑end, such as new product areas, customer segments or go‑to‑market motions, driving them from idea through execution.
• Work directly with the founding team to identify highest‑priority problems and decide on solutions.
• Build scaling systems: processes, playbooks and operational infrastructure for the next growth phase.
• Engage with enterprise customers and security teams to incorporate their insights into product building and positioning.
• Hire and develop a team around the workstream as its scope expands.

Required profile

• Founded or co‑founded a venture‑backed startup and operated through early stages, including product building, first hires, board management and high‑stakes decision making.
• Alumni of a top accelerator such as Y Combinator or Techstars, with the associated network and operating tempo.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity, taking ownership without direction, and thriving in a fast‑moving environment.
• Nice‑to‑have: founded an AI‑native cybersecurity company, experience raising venture capital, experience selling to enterprise security teams, background in product/engineering/go‑to‑market at a high‑growth startup, familiarity with vulnerability management, SIEM, SOAR, and scaling teams beyond the first hires.
