Jobs with Justice San Francisco is seeking a visionary Executive Director to lead its coalition of labor unions, worker centers, and community groups. The role combines strategic oversight, fundraising leadership, and coalition building to advance economic, racial, and gender justice in the Bay Area.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including foundation grants, grassroots campaigns, member dues, and major events.
• Lead foundation fundraising activities: prospecting, relationship management, grant writing, tracking, and reporting.
• Cultivate philanthropic partnerships and serve as a thought leader within the funding community.
• Oversee grassroots fundraising initiatives such as annual galas, sustaining donors, and member engagement.
• Manage relationships with coalition members, steering committee, and executive board, facilitating regular check‑ins and conflict resolution.
• Plan and lead coalition meetings, events, and member actions, ensuring strong external partner collaboration.
• Coordinate policy positions with members and the Legislative Committee.
• Shape shared agenda, develop campaign strategies, and drive implementation of worker‑rights and climate‑justice programs.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of combined experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, and coalition/organizing work.
• Proven track record in strategic planning, base‑building, and leading multi‑stakeholder initiatives.
• High social and emotional intelligence with the ability to navigate change and inspire teams.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills across diverse constituencies.
