EVS Training Manager

About the role

The EVS Training Manager will design, deliver and document comprehensive training programs for new and existing staff within a hospital environment. This position requires innovative thinking, clear communication and close collaboration with the management team to ensure high‑quality education and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and document initial new‑hire training covering hospital orientation, department orientation and hands‑on job training.
• Develop and deliver small‑group clinic trainings on topics such as MSDS, RACE, Infection Control, Body Mechanics, Safety, Domestic Violence, age‑specific protocols and hospital policies.
• Organize cross‑training, remedial training, “Focus of the Week” sessions and management development programs.
• Prepare site‑specific training binders, monthly activity reports and master training schedules months in advance.
• Maintain computer‑based QA programs, compile user‑satisfaction surveys and QA/infection‑control monitoring results.
• Liaise with the Regional Training Manager, Corporate HR and on‑site resources to keep training content current.
• Create memory aids (laminated cards) and ensure adequate training forms and documentation are available.

Required profile

• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• High school diploma required; college degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Prior experience in Environmental Services (EVS) training preferred.
• Fully vaccinated against COVID‑19, with proof submitted as required.

Required skills

• Knowledge of hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
• Familiarity with infection control, safety regulations and MSDS handling.
• Ability to create and manage training documentation and schedules.
