ERP Engineer - Business Systems
cerebras · Sunnyvale
Job description
About the role
Cerebras Systems builds the world's largest AI chip and works with model labs, global enterprises and AI-native startups. The ERP Engineer is a hands-on member of the Business Intelligence and Systems team, responsible for designing, building and operating scalable ERP solutions. The role translates finance, supply chain, manufacturing, datacenter and enterprise requirements into system capabilities, integrations and workflow automations, combining solution architecture with configuration and development, production support and Scrum and Agile delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Design, configure, develop, test, deploy and support ERP solutions that scale with company growth, using native configuration, workflows and custom records.
- Produce solution designs defining process flows, data models, integrations, controls, environments, testing, deployment, monitoring and support.
- Evaluate requests and choose the simplest sustainable approach across native capabilities, configuration, customization, integration, automation or process change.
- Establish reusable technical patterns and reduce unnecessary customization and fragile dependencies.
- Partner with Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Data Center Operations teams to turn requirements into effective solutions.
- Improve end-to-end processes such as procure to pay, order to cash, record to report, inventory, receiving, fulfillment, warehouse transactions, returns and RMA, fixed assets and management reporting.
- Lead technical discovery, assess gaps and dependencies, and recommend options with clear effort, risk, data ownership, validation, reconciliation and support requirements.
- Design, build and support integrations with adjacent platforms such as PLM, procurement, contracts, HR, expense, banking, CRM, data and warehouse systems, and create reusable integration services and automation patterns.
- Deliver work through Scrum: backlog refinement, sprint planning, stand-ups, estimation, demos and retrospectives, working with business systems analysts and product owners to turn needs into epics, user stories, acceptance criteria and a sequenced plan.
Required profile
- 8+ years of experience in ERP engineering, business systems, enterprise applications, integrations or related technical roles, with meaningful production ownership in complex environments.
- 5+ years of hands-on NetSuite experience, including solution design, configuration, customization, testing, deployment and support.
- Demonstrated ability to design and build complete solutions rather than only administering applications or coordinating vendors.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise integration and automation platforms, API-based integrations, authentication, error handling, monitoring and production support.
- Strong understanding of Finance and Supply Chain processes, including procure to pay, order to cash, record to report and inventory management.
- Experience in Scrum or Agile teams and in turning requirements into stories, estimates, acceptance criteria, test plans and releases.
- Working knowledge of software engineering practices: version control, peer review, environment management, automated testing, CI/CD and observability.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills, and comfort in a fast-moving environment.
Required skills
- NetSuite, SuiteScript, JavaScript or TypeScript, SuiteTalk, REST and SOAP APIs, SuiteQL, saved searches and NetSuite security concepts.
- API-based integrations, authentication, error handling, monitoring and production support.
- Nice to have: experience in semiconductor, hardware, manufacturing or inventory-intensive environments; integration with PLM, WMS, 3PL, contract manufacturing, procurement, expense, HR, banking, CRM or enterprise data platforms; Python, cloud platforms and event-driven or serverless patterns; public-company, IPO-readiness or SOX-regulated environments; NetSuite, integration-platform or Scrum certifications.
