Environmental Inspector

About the role

SWCA Environmental Consultants is building a talent pool of qualified Environmental Inspectors to support upcoming infrastructure, energy, and construction projects across the United States. This evergreen posting allows candidates to express interest for future assignments that involve field‑based environmental compliance and monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations for linear construction activities.
• Supervise installation and maintenance of Best Management Practices (BMPs) and erosion control devices.
• Conduct site inspections of right‑of‑way, pipelines, transmission lines, and related facilities.
• Utilize topographic maps, GPS units, aerial photographs, and other field tools to document conditions.
• Develop and implement safety plans, monitor team safety, and identify potential hazards.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in environmental consulting inspection of linear construction projects.
• Familiarity with soil erosion control, BMP installation, and agricultural mitigation plans.
• Ability to work in remote locations and operate ATVs or four‑wheel‑drive vehicles.
• Clean driving record and successful background check.
