Environmental Health & Safety Trainer (Shipyard)

About the role

Saronic Technologies is seeking an ambitious Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Trainer to develop and deliver comprehensive safety training for its shipyard operations in Franklin, LA. The role supports regulatory compliance and promotes a culture of safety across all levels of the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, deliver, and evaluate EHS training programs covering OSHA 29 CFR Part 1910, OSHA 29 CFR Part 1915, USCG regulations, EPA requirements and company policies.
• Provide new‑hire orientation, annual refresher courses, supervisor development, contractor orientation and specialized training for high‑risk activities.
• Maintain training matrices, qualification records and ensure all personnel meet required certifications.
• Coordinate third‑party vendors for specialized maritime and safety training.
• Develop shipyard‑specific curricula, lesson plans, practical evaluations and competency assessments.

Required profile

• Experience delivering EHS training in industrial or maritime environments.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA General Industry (1910) and Shipyard Employment (1915) standards, USCG regulations and EPA requirements.
• Ability to create engaging instructional materials and assess learner competency.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR Part 1910 and Part 1915.
• Familiarity with US Coast Guard (USCG) regulations.
• Understanding of EPA environmental compliance requirements.
