About the role
The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist is responsible for supporting and implementing workplace health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role partners with site leadership and employees to promote a safe work environment, reduce risk, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance.
Key responsibilities
- Support development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conduct routine facility inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
- Monitor corrective actions and verify timely completion.
- Assist in developing site‑specific safety initiatives and continuous‑improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, local fire codes and maintain required EHS documentation, permits, and reports.
- Lead or support investigations of workplace injuries, near‑misses, and environmental incidents, and develop corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver EHS training for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Assist with emergency response planning, drills, and maintenance of emergency equipment.
- Support waste management, recycling, hazardous material handling, and sustainability initiatives.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, robotics, or technology operations.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and EHS management systems.
- Experience conducting incident investigations and risk assessments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and EHS reporting tools.
