About the role
Join the State of Georgia as an Environmental Compliance Specialist in Cartersville, where you will support the evaluation of programs for compliance with environmental laws, rules, and regulations under supervision.
Key responsibilities
- Assess environmental programs for compliance with applicable statutes and regulations.
- Recommend monitoring actions and corrective or enforcement measures.
- Conduct regulatory compliance inspections as needed.
- Assist in enforcing environmental rules and laws.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, physics, geology, engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Relevant experience varies by level: entry‑level (no experience), or up to three years of professional experience in environmental protection for higher levels.
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication abilities.
