About the role

The U.S. Border Patrol is seeking motivated individuals to join as entry‑level Border Patrol Agents. This full‑time federal law‑enforcement position protects the nation’s borders and supports public safety across designated Southwest locations.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol and monitor designated border sectors to prevent illegal entry and contraband.
• Conduct inspections of vehicles, cargo, and individuals in accordance with federal regulations.
• Respond to incidents, apprehend violators, and prepare detailed reports.
• Collaborate with other law‑enforcement agencies and maintain situational awareness of border activity.
• Participate in ongoing training at the Border Patrol Academy and on‑the‑job skill development.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance.
• High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in public safety, security, military police, or law enforcement is a plus.
• Willingness to work in remote, high‑stress environments and relocate as needed.
• Physical fitness meeting agency standards and ability to pass a medical exam.

• Annual base salary ranging from $51,632 to $92,912 (GL‑5/GL‑7).
