English as a Second Language (ESL) Specialist Teacher

About the role

The ESL Specialist Teacher will plan and deliver targeted English language interventions for K-8 scholars, both inside and outside the general education classroom, using the English Language Development Standards. You will collaborate closely with grade-level teachers and the academic support team to design instruction that advances every scholar’s learning.

Key responsibilities

• Design and teach high‑impact ESL interventions aligned with state standards.
• Partner with classroom teachers and support staff to integrate language development into core instruction.
• Build strong relationships with families to support student progress.
• Participate in weekly meetings with a manager for coaching and feedback.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• At least one year of full‑time K‑12 teaching experience.
• Massachusetts ESL Teacher license (PreK‑6).
• Demonstrated success leading students to measurable academic gains.

Required skills

• Knowledge of English Language Development Standards.
• Ability to design data‑driven instructional interventions.
