About the role
The Engineering and Utilities Intern will support Georgetown University's Office of Engineering and Utilities during a busy summer period. This on‑campus role offers hands‑on experience with mechanical, electrical, and fire‑protection systems while contributing to energy‑conservation initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct field investigations and site visits to assess facilities and utilities issues.
- Assist with design reviews, construction support, and commissioning activities.
- Collect and analyze data for utilities operations and energy‑conservation measures.
- Prepare and submit detailed field reports and documentation.
- Review testing and commissioning results and recommend follow‑up actions.
- Support the Controls Team and Fire Protection Team with maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting.
- Help review plans and designs submitted by Capital Projects.
Required profile
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an accredited engineering program at a college or university.
