Engineering Technician 3 – Integrated Final Test – Weekend Nights

About the role

Join Applied Materials as an Engineering Technician 3 working on Integrated Final Test during weekend nights. You will perform electro‑mechanical testing, troubleshooting, and assembly of complex systems in a fast‑paced, safety‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform moderately complex electro‑mechanical functions including design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, troubleshooting and assembly of electronics and electro‑mechanical systems.
• Test and troubleshoot system‑level and component‑level problems in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and vacuum subsystems, following schematics, diagrams and written instructions.
• Compile logbooks and test procedure documentation, assist in revising department procedures, and generate Quality Notifications for rework.
• Observe all safety standards, maintain a clean work environment, and report hazards or incidents promptly.

Required profile

• Physically demanding role requiring standing, walking, bending, lifting, and ability to work in noisy or clean‑room environments.
• Willingness to wear appropriate PPE such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, and to operate heavy machinery including forklifts.

Required skills

• Electro‑mechanical testing and troubleshooting.
• Interpretation of schematics, diagrams and technical documentation.
• Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and vacuum system testing.
• Clean‑room procedures and use of PPE.
• Forklift operation.
