Engineering Leader - Infrastructure & Platform

About the role

Candid Health is looking for an experienced Engineering Leader to own and evolve its core Platform and Infrastructure teams. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will drive scalability, reliability, performance and AI tooling strategy for mission‑critical healthcare financial and operational workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Lead three distinct teams – Production Infrastructure, Developer Infrastructure, and Data Engineering – to design, build, and operate critical services.
• Define and execute technical strategy, architecture, and roadmaps in partnership with product and leadership.
• Mentor engineering managers and senior engineers, fostering growth and high‑performance culture.
• Ensure high reliability, observability, security, and disaster‑recovery across all platforms.
• Recruit top talent, collaborate with talent acquisition, and shape hiring processes.

Required profile

• B.S. or B.A. in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in software engineering leadership, including managing managers.
• Proven track record delivering scalable, distributed systems and leading data/infrastructure teams.

Required skills

• CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.
• Data pipelines and streaming (pub/sub, eventing).
• Load testing and performance engineering.
• AI tooling integration.
• Observability, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems architecture.
