Elementary Teaching Assistant (2026‑2027)

About the role

Alma del Mar Charter School seeks a dedicated Elementary Teaching Assistant for the 2026‑2027 academic year. The position starts in August 2026 and supports daily school operations and classroom activities under the guidance of Lead Teachers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with schoolwide routines such as arrival, meals, recess, and dismissal.
• Support Lead Teachers in classroom instruction and act as a substitute teacher when needed.
• Help maintain a supportive, high‑expectation learning environment for K‑8 students.

Required profile

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Prior experience working with children in a professional or volunteer capacity.
• Passion for education and belief that all children can succeed.
• Bilingual (especially Spanish) candidates are strongly encouraged and will receive higher compensation.
