Electrical Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to design, test, and implement electrical systems for autonomous maritime vessels. The role is based in Austin and involves close collaboration with software, mechanical, and naval architecture teams.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with core electrical design and manufacturing teams throughout product development and production.
• Prototype early‑stage hardware to identify design limitations and improve manufacturability.
• Implement design‑for‑manufacturability changes to boost production efficiency.
• Resolve manufacturing discrepancies in coordination with quality and supplier teams.
• Participate in internal and external design reviews and advise vendors on technical matters.
• Identify and mitigate risks, reduce complexity, and drive continuous improvement across vessel systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven understanding of electrical engineering principles and experience with complex system integration.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, innovative startup environment.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
